California Couple Juan Almanza and Janette Pantoja Cause of Death

Officials announced Wednesday that they found Janette Pantoja, 28, and Juan Almanza Zavala, 36, as the two deceased people found outside the vehicle by the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP does not know who was driving at the time of the accident.

Juan Almanza Zavala, 36, and Janette Pantoja, 29, did not return home from Hot August Nights in Reno at 10:38 p.m. on August 7.

Jannette and her ex-boyfriend did not return from a road trip to Reno, which is about 35 miles away from a massive search for a missing teenage girl who went missing the day before.
