Magnum P.I. delivered some huge news on tonight’s episode – where Magnum (Jay Hernandez) and his partner, Juliet Higgins (Perdita Weeks) decided to get married! It was revealed that Juliet was in danger of having to leave Hawaii for England, after her visa expired, and her plans to get an extension failed.
“Or there’s nothing to find,” Magnum says. “These two get married and live happily ever after.” But Higgins scoffs at the idea.
On tonight’s new Magnum PI season 2 episode 18, we saw yet another twist to the Higgins marriage story and it’s definitely one that we didn’t see coming. For most of the past few weeks, we thought we were going to be seeing Thomas Magnum and Juliet Higgins end up getting married.
This felt like the best overall means to an end and they were prepared to make it happen at least until Katsumoto entered the fray with some concerns over the plan. Now, all of a sudden Higgins is going to be marrying TC instead of Magnum.
They met when Hernandez was 14 and Deutscher was 17 years old. They also co-starred in the NBC series ‘Hang Time’ before getting married in 2006. By casting British actress Perdita Weeks as Higgins, the show producers have brought in an added dimension of a ‘will they, won’t they’ romance to the legendary verbal spats between Magnum and Higgins.
