Dr. Taylor Nichols, MD – Sacramento, CA

Dr. Taylor Nichols is an emergency medicine and addiction medicine physician.

He received his medical degree from the UC Davis School of Medicine, completed residency at UCSF-SFGH, and completed fellowship in Health Policy and Advocacy at UC Davis Medical Center in collaboration with California ACEP.

He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF Medical Center in the Departments of Medicine and Emergency Medicine, working in the emergency department and on the inpatient addiction medicine consult service. He is also Volunteer Clinical Faculty at UC Davis Medical Center and teaches medical students and residents who rotate with him in his addiction medicine clinic.

He currently serves as the medical director for a residential treatment program as well as for EMS services providing critical care transport. He continues to be involved in advocacy and harm reduction work, including on the Board of Directors of California ACEP, on the Legislative Advocacy Committee for the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and on the Board of Directors as the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Sacramento Street Medicine.
