Dreux was a phenomenal musician as well. His incredible legacy as a musician is present in a number of notable local bands, including Antarctica vs. the World, Consortium of Genius, K.O.G.S., Confabulation of Gentry, and of course the iconic Suzaku 7. He always had a pulse on just about anything musical in our area thanks to his profession as the lead stagehand at the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. He had a passion for creating models, and he spent time producing videos of model construction during the recent pandemic to assist us all get through the lock-down. Additionally, he frequently participated in historical re-enactments in and around the metro region of New Orleans. I also must mention that he was equally passionate and knowledgeable about comic books, manga, and anime.
He was also one of the kindest, devoted, and loving friends anyone could want for. He was outspoken, fearless, obstinate, humorous, passionate, and always up for a good time. He was also prone to all the drama that someone who adored everything and everyone could possibly be. It is not an exaggeration to say that I frequently relied on his insights, vision, devotion, excitement, and guidance as one of the fortunate people who had the privilege to call him my family. He would detest it if I said it, but his death has made our world a tiny bit smaller and darker. His passing will be sorely felt, and right now, our thoughts are with his family.
