Spanish social media star Elena Huelva passed away on January 3 after a protracted fight with cancer. The native of Seville said goodbye to her almost one million Instagram followers before she passed away.

Huelva battled Ewing sarcoma, a rare bone cancer that primarily affects adolescents and young adults, during her late adolescence. The 20-year-old was given the diagnosis in 2016, and her Instagram account was kept up to follow her treatment.

Huelva provided a tragic health update via video on December 4, 2022, stating that her illness had gotten worse and that she was receiving end-of-life care.

The influencer posted the tragic footage on Instagram and stated: “I wanted to drop this video here, because at the end of life is the memories we take, the people, the love, and I’ve already won. For love, for a fight, for people, forever.”

She was shown in the video lying in a hospital bed with tubes in her airways, describing her condition as she said: “They found more disease in my windpipe, which is very dangerous, as you know because that’s where we breathe.”
