Age 64, of Leoni Township, passed away at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital on September 19, 2023.

Dave is survived by his beloved family whom he loved with all his heart: his wife, Holly; daughters, Jessica (Mike) Villarreal and Brooke (Jeff) Dean; step-son, Blake (Kylie) Garver; grandchildren, Alyssa (Austin), Dylan, Braylen, Maesyn, Maddison, Teagan, Boston and Brandt; his sister, Dawn (Marcus) Norris; niece Amanda (Jeremy) Dunlap and their children, Wyatt and Maggie.

Also surviving are many, many wonderful friends he has made over his lifetime.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, David James “Jim” and Delores M. Phelps; and several aunts and uncles.

Dave was the owner of Phelps Towing in Michigan Center for over 41 years. His life revolved around his business and his family/friends. You could catch him snowmobiling or riding side by sides with friends any given weekend.

His laughter was contagious, his smile could brighten any room and his generosity was unmatched. If you were lucky enough to call him your friend or family you knew his love, kindness and humble demeanor. He will be missed so much by all who loved him and he loved in return.

Visitation will be held at Hampton Funeral Home in Jackson on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11:00 am from the JaxNazChurch, 3905 Clinton Road, Jackson, MI 49201 with Reverend Bryce Gernand officiating. Visitation will begin at the church one hour prior to the services with cremation following the services.
