How did Mike Tyson's father die?

Mike Tyson has suffered many losses throughout his life. Jimmy Kirkpatrick, his father, abandoned the family when he was two years old. In his autobiography, Mike revealed that his father was a mystery to him and his siblings.

He went on to say that Percel Tyson, a Jamaican cab driver, was named as his father on his birth certificate. The problem was that neither he nor his siblings ever met him in person till he passed on.

Mike Tyson’s dad passed on three decades ago. To date, nothing has been said concerning what killed him however, he died at age 68 on Oct 28, 1992, in Brooklyn, Kings County  New York, USA.

His burial and memorial services took place at Rosedale and Rosehill Cemetery
Linden, Union County, New Jersey, USA. Tyson suffered a devastating personal blow two years after. He lost his only sister as well just weeks after losing the world heavyweight title to Buster Douglas.
