Ian Kessel Obituary, Comeau Funeral Home Confirms

On March 8, 2023, Ian  Kessel, age 26, passed away.

He was the son of the late Michael W. Kessel and Cheryl M. Menzies of Naples, Florida, and was born in Methuen, Massachusetts.

He was also a sibling to Mariah Kessel of Salem, New Hampshire, and Michaela Kessel of Bradford, Massachusetts. Ian was a star performer on the basketball court and the football field, renowned for his quickness and agility.

He kept playing basketball in local leagues and recently signed on with a semi-pro football squad in Worcester, Massachusetts, with the intention of returning to the sport in the fall.

In North Andover, Massachusetts, Ian recently established a gaming and recording studio and has been putting a lot of effort into growing the company.

Ian was a kind and compassionate person who had a special and close relationship with Valerie Menzies, his grandma, as well as his parents, sisters, and other family members. Vanessa Veloz, with whom Ian was due to give birth to a daughter in April, was profoundly loved by Ian and reciprocated that love. Kailani, his four-year-old daughter, was also dear to him. He also leaves behind his mother, grandmother, aunts, and daughter, in addition to his local and distant relatives in Germany.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 12 from 2 PM to 5 PM. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral service will be held at All Saints Parish in Haverhill, Massachusetts, on Monday, March 13 at 1:30 PM. Provisions are being made.
