Close Combat is most likely to be more useful–unless you are facing a Special Sweeper. Another situation where Superpower could be more useful is on a mixed sweeper. Also Some Pokemon like Salamence have high Attack, yet can use Special moves too. If you used Superpower as your only physical move, you could get a lot of mileage out of it.
