Jeopardy champ Brian Henegar compared to Hitler quits social media
This week’s “Jeopardy!” winner Brian Henegar is on a winning streak.
While Henegar, who holds a regular job as a guest service representative in LaFollette, Tennessee, has won twice so far on the popular game show, he is having a drastically different experience online when people started claiming that he resembles Adolf Hitler.
On Tuesday, the night after his Jeopardy! appearance, the champion posted on Twitter, “Right now I’m feeling every emotion under the sun remembering my Jeopardy! appearance. And I can see what certain jerks are doing on Twitter since they are just interested in my appearance… I’m going to stop using Twitter for a while.
When someone suggested that he simply block the bullies, he responded, “I would love to, but there are literally dozens of them comparing my appearance to one of the most evil human beings to defile the Earth… and it’s a lot when I’m already on such an emotional high from winning.” He later clarified that his problem was with the Hitler comparisons.
I’ve never had somebody say that to me before, so it kind of got on my nerves,” Henegar acknowledged in a subsequent tweet.
“I need someone in Brian’s life to tell him he kinda looks like hitler,” stated one of the original posts that compared him to Hitler.
“Brian was so excited when he won, he caused quite a stir,” said another.
