The owner of a business with employees working at the Altoona theme park Adventureland claims that a contractor passed away there on Monday.

A representative for the family of Zachary Alesky, 20, claimed that when he tripped on the ice while carrying a steel beam, the beam fell and crushed his chest.

Alesky survived surgery but passed away afterward.

Alesky works for the Illinois-based SkyHigh Coasters. The business is constructing the Flying Viking ride for the theme park in Altoona.

Adventureland’s owner, Palace Entertainment, issued the following statement:

We express our sincere condolences to the man’s family, friends, and coworkers in light of the tragic tragedy involving a contractor doing work at Adventureland Resort.
