Lawayne Blakely Died In Flint Fatal Vehicle Strike

Identified as the pedestrian in a tragic vehicle collision in Genesee County on Tuesday night,Lawayne Blakely  41, died on Tuesday evening in Flint Township after being hit by a car.

Blakely was reportedly struck by a passing car at around 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday while walking near Interstate 75 and Corunna Road in Flint.

The Burton, England, driver, a 19-year-old man, stayed on the scene and gave responding police his full cooperation.

The cause of the tragic tragedy is still being looked into.
