Leari Chestnut drowns in swimming pool, police say

According to authorities, a 10-year-old girl drowned in the pool of an apartment complex and died as a result.

Just before 8 o’clock on Saturday, members of the Atlanta Police Department were summoned to a complex at 3725 Princeton Lakes Pkwy SW.

According to the police, when cops arrived to the pool, they discovered someone doing CPR to a 10-year-old child. Her identity was confirmed by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office as Leari Chestnut.

When the kid arrived to Grady Memorial Hospital unresponsive, they declared her dead.

The infant appears to have drowned in the location’s pool, according to preliminary inquiry, according to authorities.

Police did not specify whether they suspected foul play; their investigation is ongoing.
