Missing Agnieszka Drelich Smith Found Dead At West Virginia

The body discovered in Mason County, West Virginia on February 22 has been recognized as missing Agnieszka Karolina Drelich Smith of Beverly Hills, California.

Smith, 40, whose corpse was discovered at Leon boat landing in the New River Gorge a week earlier and who was reported missing on December 12, 2022, was identified as the body on February 28.

Smith reportedly vanished while visiting relatives in Fayette County, according to reports.

According to a news release, the National Park Service had been looking in the region for the woman ever since she vanished.

There was no word on how the woman came to be in the Mason County region.

There was no mention of a reason of death.
