Obituary | Danielle Rodier Passes Away, Bishop McDevitt High School Alumna
On November 24, 2022, Danielle Rodier unexpectedly departed away. She was an intelligent, compassionate, and loving person who valued her family, friends, and her faith.
Growing up, Danielle lived in Roslyn, Pennsylvania. She attended Bishop McDevitt High School and Penn State University to earn her undergraduate degree. After college, Danielle worked as a writer and editor in a variety of roles because she loved to write. She later earned a law degree from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law, becoming the first member of her family to do so.
Danielle relocated to Washington, D.C., after graduating from law school to pursue a career in policy. After working as a policy adviser for the Comcast Corporation and the Department of Commerce under the Obama administration, she accepted a position as director of government relations at Internet2, a charity that uses technology to advance American research and education. She eventually received a promotion to Senior Director and Policy Counsel at Internet2, where she is now in charge of the government relations team, due to her legal, regulatory, and political expertise.
Her devoted mother Kathryn Krmpotich, stepfather Jim Krmpotich, Father Robert Rodier, brother Justin Rodier (Michelle), and sister Amanda Rodier are left in Danielle’s wake (Keith Henson). Sarafina Brigone, Katerina Rodier, Fiona Henson Rodier, and Hunter Henson Rodier are among the three nieces and one nephew she also leaves behind, all of whom she cherished. Last but not least, Franklin and Patton, two cats that Danielle proudly and devotedly owned. She would never go a day without showing these two fluffy animals her affection.
Relatives and friends are invited to her VISITATION Thursday, December 1, 2022, 9:00AM at Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary Church, located at 1511 South 10th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147. Followed by her funeral mass at 10:00AM.
