Roger Stalter Obituary Dies in Collision with Pickup Truck on East Rosebush Road

According to the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office, a motorcyclist perished in a collision on Saturday involving a pickup truck pulling a small utility trailer.

According to the sheriff’s office, the collision happened in Isabella Township’s 1000 Block of East Rosebush Road at 10:51 a.m.

Deputies were alerted that the biker was caught between the pickup and trailer while en way to the scene, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office. When emergency personnel arrived, it was discovered that the motorcycle’s driver had died in the collision.

The rider was moving in the same direction as a pickup truck being driven by a 22-year-old Owosso man, according to the sheriff’s office.

Before crashing into the truck, the motorcyclist “failed to be able [to] stop or yield to the vehicle in front of him,” according to the sheriff’s office.

On Sunday, Clare resident Roger Stalter, 68, who was riding the motorcycle, was identified.

Traumatic brain injury was found to be the cause of death.
