“Tragic Fatality: Sean Mills, 37, Dies in Fatal Kouts Car Crash in Liberty Township

In a heart-wrenching incident last Thursday, Sean Mills, 37, from Kouts, lost his life in a fatal car crash on County Road 200 West in Liberty Township. The crash, which occurred at 6:12 p.m., resulted in Mills being pronounced dead at a Chicago hospital later that day.

According to the investigation conducted by the Porter County Sheriff’s office, Mills was traveling south on County Road 200 West in his 2010 Honda Civic when the tragic accident happened. Preliminary findings suggest that Mills lost control of his vehicle after crossing the railroad tracks, causing the car to veer off the road and collide with a tree.

First responders from the Liberty Township Fire Department arrived at the scene to find the car in the middle of the road. Due to the severity of the impact, Mills had to be extricated from the vehicle as one of his feet had gone through the floorboard.
