Gregg Berhalter is a skilled manager, a two-time participant in the FIFA World Cup, and the current head coach of the United States Men’s National Team.

Before spending seven years as a coach in Sweden and the Major League Soccer, Berhalter played 18 professional seasons as a competitive and clever center defender in the Netherlands, England, Germany, and the United States.

Berhalter, who has 44 caps, has played for the United States in two FIFA World Cups and was a key member of the 2002 squad that reached the Quarterfinals in Korea/Japan.

He is one of the few Americans to have captained multiple teams in Europe, and he has done so for two different clubs in Germany.

He is a natural leader and the first USMNT head coach to have competed at a FIFA World Cup for his country.
