The police also confirmed it, adding that Shaq’s daughter Arrayah was taken to the hospital early on Sunday in response to a complaint about a kid who had fallen into the water. The youngster was pronounced dead shortly after police arrived, despite their best efforts to save him or her.

It’s not known what caused the collision, but police say nothing about it seems suspicious. A probe is currently in way… Shaq has remained silent.

On April 19th, Arrayah became two years old. The Buccaneers released a statement expressing its sadness for the family’s loss.

CNN reported that on Sunday, police in Florida found the body of Shaquil Barrett’s 2-year-old daughter, who had drowned in the family pool.

The Tampa Police Department reported that around 9:30 a.m., they arrived to a home in Beach Park after a youngster had fallen into a pool. Authorities said they tried to revive the boy at a local hospital, but ultimately declared him dead.

The police said it was a tragic accident and that no foul play was involved.

To show their support for Barrett and his loved ones, the Buccaneers issued a statement.

All of the Buccaneers family is devastated by today’s tragic news. “During this unimaginably difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Shaq, Jordanna, and the entire Barrett family,” the team said. While there are no adequate words to ease their pain at this time, please know that you have our love and support as they work through the grief of losing their dear Arrayah.

Barrett, 30 years old, has spent the last nine years in the NFL. He entered the NFL as a free agent after playing college football at Colorado State and spent his first five seasons with the Denver Broncos, with whom he won the 2015 Super Bowl.

Barrett joined the Buccaneers in 2019 after signing with the team. In 2021, he helped the Buccaneers win the Super Bowl as a member of the victorious team.
