The renowned family business hasn’t made any public statements regarding Fisher’s passing, but on Tuesday night the New York Yankees observed a moment of silence in his memory.

Fisher worked as a manager for the fourth-generation family business. His main duties included development, acquisitions, and construction, including managing the design and construction of all assets acquired.

Fisher Brothers is one of New York’s oldest continuously operating real estate firms, having been established in 1915. Trophy properties including Park Avenue Plaza and 605 Third Avenue are part of its portfolio.

Fisher oversaw Plaza Construction, a division of Fisher Brothers, for ten years. Construction became one of the most competitive industries in New York City under his direction. The subsidiary was bought in 2014 by the American division of the Chinese construction firm China State Construction Engineering.
