Where did Jaylen Watson go to high school?
Jaylen Watson is an American football cornerback for the National Football League’s Kansas City Chiefs. He began his collegiate career at Ventura College before moving to Washington State.
Watson grew up in Augusta, Georgia, and went to Lucy Craft Laney and Curtis Baptist High Schools.
Watson attended Ventura College for his first two years of college. He had 43 tackles as a sophomore, 13 pass breakups, four interceptions, and one fumble recovery.
Watson made an early commitment to transfer to USC, but did not enroll and did not play in 2019. Watson later de-committed and signed with Washington State to play.
Watson earned honorable mention All-Pac-12 Conference after compiling 13 tackles, two passes were broken up, a forced fumble, and one recovered fumble in three games for the Washington State Cougars during the team’s COVID-19-shortened 2020 season.
On September 15, 2022, Watson recorded his first interception and score against the Los Angeles Chargers, picking off Justin Herbert and returning it 99.5 yards.
