The death of a 21-year-old TikTok star follows a suspicious late-night phone call, police say.

Karla Pardini, a well-known TikToker in Mexico, was shot and killed last week after receiving a threatening phone call late at night.

According to Quionez, Pardini had received a threatening phone call at 10:30 p.m. telling her to go outside; she did so, but never came back.

The influential person’s bullet-riddled body was discovered the next day in front of her home at the corner of Catedráticos and Ignacio López Rayón streets.

Jam Press reported that the Sinaloa State Attorney General’s Office said that Pardini had been ambushed and shot multiple times.

Witnesses said they saw armed people prowling the area moments before the attack, but the perpetrators remain unknown.

Pardini’s alleged murder has been registered as “a femicide because she was exposed and in a state of helplessness when the attack took place,” according to the police investigating the case.

Authorities have stated, “We are carrying out the investigation with utmost secrecy so as not to alert the possible suspect.” However, no arrests have been made at this time.

Pardini had over 90,000 TikTok followers before her untimely demise, and she frequently posted videos there about dance and fashion. The aspiring social media star said, “When they tell me they don’t like me,” in her final video, which she uploaded on the day she passed away. Put simply, I wish you liked me less.
