Willie Pilcher Dies In Fatal Hit And Run Near Downtown Colorado Springs

The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has released the name of a pedestrian killed by a vehicle on Tejon Street near the Interstate 25 bridge Friday.

Willie Pilcher, 62, was identified as the victim in the incident that occurred around 7:30 p.m. Pilcher was walking across Tejon Street when a vehicle struck him while exiting I-25, police say.

Lt. Bethany Orten with the CSPD Gold Hill Division said that the Major Crash Team has been assigned the investigation of the hit-and-run incident, but that no suspects have yet been announced and that the investigation is ongoing.
